Here’s the latest on what’s happening at East Bay Intergroup:
Notes from the December monthly Intergroup meeting held on December 15.
New Board of Directors
Outgoing Board Chair Steve C. introduced three new candidates for the board: Brian V., Kellie D., and Walter W. Intergroup representatives elected the new board members along with existing member Tim C., who will stay on for one more year. The Nominating Committee intends to have two more candidates by next month’s meeting to complete the panel of six, as directed in the new by-laws.
EBI Monthly Intergroup Meeting Needs Chairperson
Intergroup needs a volunteer to run the monthly meeting now that Steve C. is stepping down. This person should have experience running A.A. business meetings. If interested, contact officecoordinator@eastbayaa.org
Volunteers for Hotline Shifts are Needed!
There are 3 shifts that have been open for several months and Hotline Chair Ipeleng can no longer fill them. These shifts are: Tuesday 10pm – 2am, Tuesday 2am – 6am, and Wednesday 2am – 6am. If you know anyone in a different time zone who wants to be of service to the alcoholic who still suffers, or if you want a real opportunity to serve (and get very grateful to be sober), contact Ipeleng at phonechair@eastbayaa.org
November Financials
Group Contributions November – Intergroup took in $8,631.84 in 7th tradition contributions for November. This is up significantly from October’s contributions of $5,458.67, and September’s contributions of $4,065.29. Keep up the good work!
Profit and Loss November – There is an expense of $36,000 under “Legal fees” which is actually the settlement amount owed for the lease (apparently the CPA had a reason to list it as such). Last month’s Legal fees expense was for the lawyer used in the suit. Due to this expense, the net P&L for November was -31,801.
The next EBI Business Meeting is January 19
- Meeting ID: 826 4219 5246

As always, groups are encouraged to elect and send an Intergroup Rep (IGR) to the monthly meetings. Individuals are welcome to attend, but only elected IGRs may vote.
