Alcoholism Recovery Program

Here’s the latest on what’s happening at East Bay Intergroup:

Notes from the June 15th monthly Intergroup meeting.

Board of Directors Report

Tim C. reported that the accountant recommends starting over with a new set of books since there have been anomalies carrying over from the past. They are not significant, nor do they seem reconcilable. The Board of Directors unanimously agreed.

At the end of the year, it will be time for some of the Board Members to rotate out. At next month’s meeting there will be a discussion of the nominating process. All who are interested are invited to attend.

New Website

As reported last month, the new website is getting closer to going online. We are reducing the total number of pages to increase loading time. The removed pages will be archived on Google Drive.

Hotline and Chatline

Paul S., the interim Hotline Chair, reported that all volunteer slots are currently filled. He noted that the hotline gets more calls from out of state, presumably because other hotlines are not answering. The hotline needs a volunteer to take over as coordinator. Paul, who was chair in the past, promises a full orientation. If you would like to step up to this opportunity, please contact him at phonechair@eastbayaa.org. We won’t  throw you in unprepared.

Zach O-M. reported that there were 41 conversations in May on the website chatline.

May Financials

Group Contributions May – Intergroup took in $598 in 7th tradition contributions for May. This is down substantially from April’s 7th tradition contributions of $6995, but totals always fluctuate.

The average per month for the year is $5860. The average monthly contribution for 2021 was $5171.

Profit and Loss MayThere was a net loss in May of $8,410.48, compared to a loss of $376.84  in April. As reported last month payroll expenses for May were  expected to be higher than usual, due to cashing out of Belle’s vacation and sick time.

All Financial Reports

The next East Bay Intergroup Meeting is Wednesday, July 20th at 7:00 PM.

As always, groups are encouraged to elect and send an Intergroup Rep (IGR) to the monthly meetings. Individuals are welcome to attend, but only elected IGRs may vote.
