Board of Directors Report
Two Board Members will be rotating out of their positions
at the end of the year, Tim C. in the Treasurer position and
Claudia G. in the Secretary position. The board is looking
for people with legal, financial, or administrative
experience with non-profits. If you would like to serve or
nominate someone, please see the application here.
New Website
Tim C. reported that the new website will be up very soon,
and indeed, as this newsletter is published, the website has gone live! We’re all very excited to see it. Love it? “It’s complicated”? Wish list? Tim asks members to contact the webmaster at webmaster@eastbayaa.org with your suggestions, rave reviews and questions about where to find things.
There was a house-keeping motion to spend $200 a month for
upkeep for the first year, to be revisited after one year. The
motion passed without objection.

Bookstore
Lindsay, the office administrator, reported that July was a
good month at the bookstore. Sixty-six Big Books were
sold, 94 sobriety chips, and 240 printed meeting
schedules (listing in-person meetings). There were more volunteers than we’ve had
recently, but more are always needed.
Walter W. of the Board of Directors also reported that the
Board discussed the possibility of expanding bookstore
hours since we have more volunteers.

July Financials
Group Contributions July – Intergroup took in $5,481 in
7th tradition contributions for July, up slightly from June.
This brings the average per month year-to-date up
to $5,734. The average monthly contribution for 2021 was
$5171.
Profit and Loss July – There was a net loss in July of $283,
with a net operating loss for the year of $4,356.
Helpline and Chatline
East Bay Intergroup is very pleased to announce that there
is a new Hotline Chair, Paul D., who stepped up to take over
from interim chair Paul S. The only current open shift is
from 2 am – 6 am on Friday. This is a great opportunity to
give back and to be reminded of what it’s like to be the
alcoholic who still suffers. Help keep the Helpline going—

Zach O-M. reported that there are two open shifts of the
Chatline that need filling: Wednesday 6 – 10 pm, and
Sunday 6 pm – 10 pm. If you can help out and grab one of
these shifts, contact Zach at chatline@eastbayaa.org
