Just a phone call away, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, is the East Bay Intergroup (EBI) Helpline. Available to help alcoholics find current Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and provide current AA meeting directory information using the East Bay Intergroup Meeting guide (HERE).  Additionally, there are 12th-step volunteers to talk to when a suffering alcoholic is in need.

Call 510-839-8900

The volunteers who answer the calls are sober alcoholics doing what they can to stay sober and to help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety. It is important to remember, that often a person’s first introduction to AA is through Teleservice.

What they do:

  1. Provide meeting information, experience, strength and hope.
  2. Provide services to alcoholics who are in need of help.
  3. Help locate meetings in the caller’s area
  4. Connect the caller to someone to talk to in times of crisis.
  5. Provide information about the program of Alcoholics Anonymous.

AA Helpline is also a great way to be of service to your fellow alcoholic. All you need is a phone, access to the meeting listings, and your experience in AA. Your shifts, your service, is from the comfort of your own home or out and about using landline or cell.

If you have greater than 6 mos. sobriety and would like to be of service, please contact Kenny at, helpline@eastbayaa.org
