Here’s the latest on what’s happening at East Bay Intergroup:

Notes from the May 18th monthly Intergroup meeting.

New Recording Secretary

Jacob M. has volunteered to be the new recording secretary.  This important position has been open for several months.  Thank you, Jacob, for your service.

New Website Ahead  of Schedule

Tim C.  reports that the web creator hired by the board has made great progress, and the new website may be ready for launching sooner that expected.

One of the goals of the new site is to reduce the number of pages for faster load time—currently there are 87 pages and the goal is approximately 20 pages. The information removed from the site will be stored on Google Drive.

Report from Office Administrator

Lindsay P., the recently hired Office Administrator (replacing Belle K.) reported on literature sales for the month of April:

Big Books – 42

Directories (in Person meetings) – 175

Chips – 238

Lindsay also requested that groups that offer court card confirmation submit that information for their meeting on the Meeting Update page to be added to the website listing.

Hotline and Chatline

Tim C. reported that there were 1793 Hotline calls from April 6 – May 6.  Zach O.M. reported that there were 77 chats from April 20 – May 18, the highest number per month so far.

April Financials

Group Contributions April – Intergroup took in $6,995 in 7th tradition contributions for April.

The average per month YTD is $7176. The average monthly contribution for 2021 was $5171.

Profit and Loss AprilThere was a net loss in April of $376.84, compared to a profit of $7085.16  in March. This is due to increased payroll costs, since both the new Office Administrator, Lindsay, and the outgoing Office Administrator, Belle, were on the payroll for April, as Belle was training Lindsay in the position.

Payroll expenses for May are also expected to be higher than usual, due to cashing out of Belle’s vacation and sick time.

All Financial Reports

The next East Bay Intergroup Meeting is Wednesday, June 15th at 7:00 PM.

As always, groups are encouraged to elect and send an Intergroup Rep (IGR) to the monthly meetings. Individuals are welcome to attend, but only elected IGRs may vote.

How to Update Your Meeting Listing

If your meeting is changing from online to in-person (or hybrid), you may submit an update on the Meeting Update page.
